On February 19, 2020, the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics held the first session of the new discipline «Innovative Technologies in the School Course of Mathematics», which was developed within the framework of an international grant project «MoPED) – 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, operating within the EU Erasmus + CA2 programme – development of higher education potential.
The lecture-training «Innovation: the essence and types of innovation, conceptual apparatus and normative basis» was conducted with the participation of three teachers, namely the dean of the faculty, Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Methodology of Teaching Mathematics Tatiana Mahometa, Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Methodology of Teaching Mathematics Tatiana Godovanyuk and Assistant Professor of the same Department of Irina Tyagai. The training took place based on the Center of the Latest Educational Technologies «USPU Ecosystem».
The lecture-training has started with the technique «Trees of expectations», during which students placed their expectations of the lecture on «a tree». The activities of the students in the class have included work in groups, during which techniques for developing critical thinking and researching were used. An interesting element of the lecture was the technology of the film didactics, which encouraged students to reflect and to discuss. Students have actively participated in all activities, expressed their thoughts and listened to the opinions of their classmates, drew conclusions and substantiated them.
The classes were held in a warm, friendly atmosphere!
