On 20 November 2019, the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science held a seminar at the Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University training on the development of digital and didactic competence of teachers of institutions of Lisyansk District as part of the realization of the international project «Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education on the Use of Innovative Teaching Tools» (MoPED) EU programs Erasmus + CA2 – Development of higher education potential, 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.
Speakers of the following pieces of training are Tatiana Mahometa, the Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science; Tatiana Godovanukuk, the Professor of Higher Mathematics and Mathematics Teaching Methods; Irina Tyagai, the Assistant Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Mathematics Teaching Methods; Tatiana Polishchuk, the Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Methodology of Mathematics Education; Maria Medvedeva the Head of the Department of Informatics and Information and Communication Technologies; Sergey Tereschuk, the Professor of the Department of Physics and Astronomy and their Teaching Methods; Vitaly Dubovik, the professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Mathematics Teaching Techniques.
The participants of the following meeting could have attained the mentioned sessions: «From a classical lesson in research learning», «Simulation of physical and mathematical problems in the environment Geogebra 6.0.» «Modern online testing services».
At the beginning of the training, the speakers have informed the participants about the features of the research training, have defined its main characteristics and so on. By joining teams, all participants have immersed themselves in the research process, with the help of the coaches formulated hypotheses, determined the research plan, conducted the experiment itself and drew the conclusions.
After two experiments, the coaches have informed the participants about the research learning cycle (Inquiry-Based Learning, IBL), which includes the following stages: orientation, conceptualization, research, conclusion, and discussion. After a short theoretical tour, participants had the opportunity to continue participating in research training (to participate in two more experiments), but already taking into account the cycles of research training.
Also, during the training sessions, participants familiarized themselves with the modern online services for testing and interviewing educational applicants. Learned to create and import a question, conduct testing in a service “Kahoot!” Besides, they learned how to create the dynamic models of physical processes and the phenomena, models up to the applied problems of the school mathematics course using the built-in tools of dynamic mathematics program Geogebra 6.0.
The atmosphere of each class was marked by the activeness of participants, a warm and friendly atmosphere, a fruitful and creative performance.
