March 25, 2019 representatives of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, namely the Dean of the Department, the Candidate of Educational Sciences, the Assistant Professor TatianaMahometa, the Assistant Professor of Higher Mathematics and Mathematics Irina Tyagai and the senior lecturer of the same department Ludmila Blagodir, within the framework of the international project «Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education on the Use of Innovative Teaching Tools» (MoPED) of the EU Erasmus + CA2 programme development of higher education capacities, 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “took part in a workshop for mathematics teachers of general secondary education institutions in Uman on the topic of «action approach as a basis of new educational standards and as a means of increasing pupils’ cognitive activity in mathematics lessons». The purpose of the event was to motivate teachers to raise the methodological and practical levels of professional competence in the conditions of the modern Ukrainian school.
At the beginning of the event, the participant of the international project – TatianaMahometa, the Dean of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics, presented to the assembled international project MoPED and presented its goals and main tasks. Within the framework of the seminar-workshop, the representatives of the faculty organized a «round table» on the topic «Introduction of STEAM education in mathematics teaching» during which Irina Tyagyai has presented separate ways of introducing STEAM education into the mathematics teaching process, in particular: technology «upside down studying», the educational environment Grasp, the online-service Kahoot.
The event facilitated the exchange of experiences and the best ideas for further cooperation and professional networking.
